Step Up Grade 7s!
Hi guys sorry I'm not in today, but you are to wrap up your unit on Step UP today! Work in groups of no more than 3 and create a master web of the course. Have layers of topics from the unit and its readings and discussions. How do they link? What similarities can you find? after all...it's all about CONNECTIONS!

Grade 7 Project
Hi everybody,
using your Reader's Notebooks, today in class I would like you to open a new database program called "InspireData" (that butterfly looking thingy) and create a new database called "yournameRN". Then we will create fields for the data to be entered in and save Term one's reading data.
Next I would like you to explore different ways to map/graph/represent the data using the sort options. We have talked a lot about INSPIRATION, now explore the website by clicking the picture on the side.
Lastly, create your own Inspiration web based on our magic 8 ball field trip and the skills you now have. Use these questions to guide your thinking....
Where can you draw inspiration? What does Inspiration come from? Why is inspiration important? What are some examples of things that inspire you?

Grade 7 LA
Hi Gang,
Today in Creative writing develop your own character. Sketch them first, then create a detailed description incorporating more than just what they look like. How do they smell? How do they move? What facial expressions do they use? What do they sound like? Get deep. This will be for marks!!
And remember sometimes spelling does count...

Messy Books add a new section!
This week we have added an new section to our messy books. A "Better writing" section has been created in the back of the books. Each student is to decide on the title of their guide.

Please make sure you create the title pages for the back and the front of your book!
Also, I would like you to check out my favourite "Altruistic Vocabulary" site. Here we can build our vocabulary and feed nations in need...
