Grade 8 Outsiders update

Hi 8s,

this week we will be wrapping up the Outsiders novel.  That means three things:

1. Finalizing portfolio Assignments and Questions - due Friday
2. Vocab Quiz on SPN questions - Thursday
3. Novel Exam - Friday

Grade 7 Prezi's

Hi everyone, I'll be out a couple days and I do miss you all, but there is lots to do.

#1.  After reading today's two selections "Gamer Jobs" p83 and "Confessions of a Gamer" p85 work with a partner to come up with an important question about video games that you could each use to focus your presentation around.

#2.  Use the structure for designing presentations on page 82 to help you plan out some presentation ideas focused around your Question.

#3.  PREZI - When it comes time to do the Prezi's you will need to setup an account.  Please use the link below to register as it gives you an "EDU" account with lots of extras for free.

#4.  Follow the instructions and online tutorial video on how to create your Prezi.  Save it with a title name and ask a peer for help if you need it.  Grade 8s are very good at these and probably would help if you needed it.

#5.  Presentations are due for Tuesday next week please.

Grade 7 Book Reports

Hi Grade 7s
Like I promised here is the link for the Book Report Project.
Use this to make sure you don't leave any marks on the table.  Presentations will start at the end of February and  you will not have much time to work on this at school.  This is a personal project and the final rubric mark does not count: these are not for group marks.  Choose your own method for presentation but make sure you gather all the points you can from the rubric.
